My trip to california was a great success because I got to see all of your lovely faces. Well, almost all of them.

An actual posed picture?? So sweaty.

And who could forget these faces?

so i'm prob not moving to oklahoma till nov or dec. so...false alarm!!! freaked you all out, right? right.

in other news, i've watched 'cars' in its entirety at least 7 times in the last few days. this baby i nanny is obsessed. so am i. it's a good movie. strange lack of chemistry between owen wilson and bonnie hunt, but, to be fair, they are playing cars. and are polar opposites in real life.

i'm only nannying one baby these days. i dress him in ralph lauren dress shirts and preppy shorts. we're a fantastic couple, and he's well on his way to ending up gay.

I think our neighbor deserves a mention. There are three units in our building: two on the bottom (one of which we occupy) and one on the top. The top neighbor is a thirty something lady who works for the Census Bureau and allegedly has a fifteen year old daughter whom I have never seen. The bottom neighbor is a single guy named Charlie. He's thirty three, an electrician with a dog named Gaz who he takes to work with him every day. A really strange guy. Apparently by the time he finished sixth grade he had already completed the math credits he needed for both high school and college. He also has "Ohm's Law" tattooed on his forearm, along with a host of other more regrettable choices. But he is possibly the most inarticulate person ever. He wanders over and chats us up almost every night, about things like angels and how there aren't any good people in the world so you can only trust dogs. So far he has offered us: beer, See's candy, two kinds of weed (and a bong to use it with), and the loan of this, this, this, and this. You have to guess as to which offers we took him up on.

jorbs

They aren't going well for me either. It seems like the old lady who runs the video store I work at is angry that I haven't mastered the DOS operating system that the decrepit store has been operating on for the past sixty years in the two weeks that I've been working and has just demoted me from partially full-time to less than part-time. The good news? I got food stamps.
Everything's coming up Newcott!

By the way, have you seen this?

I cried at the end.

On Sunday Zack and I got liquored up at a bbq at my brother's place. I guess we underestimated the potency of the Cosmo.

We are more or less moved into our new place now, though the old place is still littered with those odds and ends you just can't manage to pack. It wants for a thorough cleaning. The management also informed us that no matter what state the carpet is in, upon departure, our security deposit will take the hit for professional carpet cleaning. Sneaky bastards did NOT inform us of that when we moved in.

Last night we took a little stroll from our back door to a street market that happened to be going on near downtown, then on to a pub for a couple of drinks. We passed no less than 2 live musics, 1 open mic, and a place that has happy hour for $2.50 a drink. Fullerton is my new favorite place.

Guess what this is:

i work for 2 families simultaneously. they're best friends and they have a nanny share: me.

last weekend one of the families staged a coup and offered me roughly the same income to only watch their baby.

hells yes.

Yesterday Zack and I found a gremlin trapped under our apartment building.
